How can I output programmes stored on my SKY+ hard drive to my video Ipod?

Is the only way to record onto a DVD via a DVD recorder and then try and input into ITunes? Is there an easier way?

sky+ to dvdr to pc to ipod is the ilny way, as the sky+ box doesn't hav a usb connection. LONG WINDED i know.
