My favorite car is an '85 camaro iroc but i recently saw a picture of an '89 that looked similar. I know that there were different kits and I only like the flat front. What years were the different styles released?

Just to clarify this, as I own a fourth gen Camaro (2 actually):

The fourth gen Camaro ran from 1993-2002. There was a minor redesign in 1998, when they went with the LS1 engine over the LT1, and the headlight seup was changed. This was not deemed to be a big enough change to warrant the title of "5th Gen." They are separated as early 4th Gen and late 4th Gen.

To answer your question, the Camaros changed a bit every year. Many changes were vague to the common onlooker, but the Camaro enthusiasts could see the difference between the years. The major redesigns were labeled as the Generations, of which there are 4 major redesigns. The upcoming 2009 Camaro will be the 5th Gen model.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

They changed body style after 92... and again in 02 slightly ..different headlights...mechanics stayed the same until it was discontinued...the platform was shared with the Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am as usual but it could use the Vette's 347 cid V-8 and 6 speed as well as the aftermarket engines...427, 454, 502, and 540...Vortech superchargers are perfect but Calloway did a few rare twin turbos...I've seen this car with as much as 700 horses...and still be street legal...it's a understated performer...there are alot of them still on the streets...even after the discontinuation in 02....the rebirth is coming next year.
