Is watching videos on youtube illegal?

is it same as download?I know download may be illegal

Well, watching is legal - millions of users around the world are doing this. And over here in Germany, downloading the videos also is legal, as long as copyrights are not violated and as long as you do it for private purposes.

No, you are not downloading it, you are viewing it. If it is not legal it will be removed by youtube.

no only *uploading* tv shows , movies, etc. without the permission of the copyrighter
