The compression ratio on that engine is not very high so it will run on unleaded, use a top grade and check performance on motorway driving ,a slight timing adjustment may improve fuel efficincy ,use the manual to check spark plugs colour for correct mixture setting for smooth running.

my sister's Escort, same vintage, could run leaded and unleaded with no timing adjustment.
The Haynes manual will tell you if you need to tweak the timing (you will need it so you might as well get it!)
1993 has no cat so better fuel economy and cheaper exhaust replacements, but lots of NOx so don't reverse towards any asthmatic children

yes it will as it will probably have a K series robver engine in it, as my rover does of the same year, but dont flog the car cold as it has the legendary gasket failure problems if not Treat with TLC
