Green leaved trees release high oxygen, upon photosynthesis , produce carbo-hydrates and chlorophyll to grow. Among them, the Arasa maram (pupul), Aala maram (Banyan) and Vembu (Neem) trees are said to release high amount of oxygen. The Aalamaram is traditionally believed to release the highest amount of oxygen; hence called the king of trees. With medicinal effect, the Vembu is the next better specie that give out high oxygen. That is why Hindus consider these two as couple and worship these trees together. Ladies with o child are advised to go round the Pupul tree every day, especially on New moon Monday.

NASA has done research on this in the 70's, I recall that they had found some algae that produced lots of oxygen.
It is estimated that algae produce about 73 to 87 percent of the net global production of oxygen[1]--which is available to humans and other terrestrial animals for respiration.

Fauna use up Oxygen and not produce it.You probably meant FLORA

Are you talking about Flora or Fauna ??
I never heard of Animals giving out Oxygen !!
