I like to write out all my lines in pencil. Then I read through it aloud, and then erase one word. I then read through it aloud again.....and erase a word.....and again.....and so on.....This is especially helpful if you need to know it word perfect, like Shakespeare or something, but it works with anything. You'll be amazed how much more you'll remember just after copying it all out on paper....good luck

First of all do you understand it? It's hard to memorize something you don't fully comprehend. Instead of just reading it really listen to the dialouge. Know what is meant by everything said. Secondly, everytime you read it get into character.. Be the character.. If you can be the character and feel what the character is feeling then it'll become easier for you to remember the dialouge. And finally Practice, practice, practice.
I hope this helped in some way.. Good Luck!

Try to understand why your character is saying what he or she is saying. This also helps to develop a three-dimensional character. Practice is very important as well. Become familiar with the play. Read it over and over again, take your script everywhere with you. Eventually your lines will be memorized.

Everybody memorizes a different way.

The first step is to memorize the intent of the scene and then the progression of the conversation. Then work on the individual lines.

The way I learn lines is just repeating them aloud until they are perfect.

Some people find writting them out helpful and some people find that if they record the lines and listen to them over and over it helps.

Break a leg!

What did your acting teacher use to help students memorize a script? Use what you learned in acting class.
