Its everybodys personal choice. but on a personal level i feel a monogamuous matrimony is the way to go for india...
If we just keep aping the west then we'll only end up where they are, in a pile of ****...

Just beware, the people will live with you but not necessarlily marry you. Arranged marriages are a thing in India. I have seen children born out of wedlock and the man still went back to his country to marry this one girl.
This one girl had to keep her relationship a secret from the man's parents. When they found out he had children, they called them devil's children. I also read about shill killings, girls that are suppose to marry within their own culture killed by their own family.
Play it smart, don't be too naive.
