It mentions Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Mararthi , Dravida country, Utkala (Orissa) and Bengal but no mention whatever of northeastern states like assam, manipur, mizoram or other states. Many have felt that the national anthem is not inclusive of all Indian people. Has the time come for us to have a national anthem inclusive of everyone in the country and not just a mention of a few languages?

Vanga... is not only Bengal, it includes all north eastern states... They haven't included Tamilnadu, Kerala etc., either. They clubbed it with the general word "Dravida".

Adhinayak means "leader" or the "king" and not necessarily means dictator.

We try to pluck feathers out of an egg.. Don't we?

National Anthem was not selected on the basis of the number of States beings mentioned in it. What about Karanataka, Kerala, and the newly created States like Uttaranchal, Chattishgarh etc, which were created later. Perhaps NE Sates are included in the name of Bengal. If you have to change your national anthem to some anthem which mentions all the States names, then every time, a New State is created you must change it. Suffice if it mentions and praises the name of Bharat or India.

What's the purpose of an anthem when we know clearly that it has never worked, is not working now and may never work in future. Only gang leaders are crazy about territorial ambitions. It just happened that our pre-independant leaders who were power hungry were actually those people with gang-traits. We, the common folk believed them, uncritically. Gang members were also there in the form of corporates, where pristine forests of millions of years of evolution, were plundered to give way for corporate estates. Lucky for us, to have survived, because gang-traits include demolition and elimination of rival gang-members only, if you show up as organised agriculturists, beware, Tatas and Buddhas may see you as part of another gang, and plot to eliminate. Since most of us are not part of such gangs, they may not harm or injure us. They aim at the throat of their rival gang members, some even carry bullets in their carry bags. Let us keep quiet and observe more closely, while they finish themselves, one on the other. When they are all gone, they surely will on their own, we will define what human life is and how it should be lived in a non-violent non-gang way.
