One such relatively recent study tells us that implantation does not always take place on day 7 after ovulation. In fact it very rarely does. HCG hormone starts being produced when the pregnancy implants into the uterine lining. The findings in normal women trying to conceive included:
first appearance of HCG (implantation) occurred 6-12 days after ovulation
84% of the pregnancies implanted on days 8-10 after ovulation
early pregnancy loss increased with later implantation -
implantation early pregnancy loss rate
13% by day 9
26% on day 10
52% on day 11
86% on day 12 or more

The standard andswer to this question is that you ovulate 14 days after day one of your period. You implant 6-8 days after ovualtion so I would say that implantation would be between days 20-22. Now, let me say that everyone is different and has different cycles not o mention that some people ca implant faster or slower than others depending on how long it takes the fertilized egg to travel and attach. I hope this gives you a better understanding and somewhat of a timeline. Good Luck

This tip was given by my gynae when I was planning to have my baby & I've been sharing this tip to my friends who plan to conceive. The most fertile period is on the 12th, 14th & 16th day of your cycle. The first day of your menses is considered Day 1 of your cycle. The sperm will stay alive for 24hours after contraception. So work hard these dates & good luck.
