How much money does the franchise have left?
You know, after last season I thought the Rangers finally understood that you have to build good teams through scouting and drafting, not buy them. But, now that the Rangers have begun the cycle all over again I know they will continue to fail.

They always will ship off the talented younger players for aging vet superstars. Throw them together like some recipe of old stew and hope they score 13 goals a game (because the ranger defense always stinks, and queen henrik isn't a fraction as good as the hype). And they wonder why they haven't won a playoff game since the Jurassic Period.

It's a sad, sad state of affairs. They're close enough to the playoffs where you start thinking about trades, players and a cup run.

The truth is they don't have the makeup to get it done this year and should assume a seller mindset. Try to lighten up the roster for a summer free agent spree to bolster the incoming prospects they have waiting in the wings.

well they can't spend too much since there a salary cap now in the NHL and its at $44 million. so they will have to build a team and they have some young talented players in there system that have been getting more attention mostly cause of Glen Sather.

The last over the hill player they spent millions on is still leading their team in goals.

Your mind-set is outdated, honey. We're doing just fine, you can't have all kids, or nobody knows diddly. We only really spent to get Shanny, and that was a great deal. JJ is a bargain because of the way the Caps wrote the contract (egotistical corporate owner) we only pay 50%. Just who is it we over spent on that was washed up?

Maybe you missed it, but there's a salary cap now. The Rangers are probably at or near it, like everyone else.

I don't know but that Avery guy needs to get socked in the mouth. I think Shanahan was a worthy pick-up. He's good for the team morale.

Probably about 1.21 jiggawatts of money, knowing them.

They need Doc Brown to knock some sense into them.
