reason is that they dont know what is basic
1. The first thing to do is to try to read as much math as
possible. You will have to figure out the level where you are
now. Don't try to jump ahead too fast.
2. Solve problems! If you are in a math class, solve extra
problems that they do not assign to you. If you are trying to
learn on your own, try to solve every problem in the book
(yeah, it sounds crazy, but it works).
3. Try to relate the math you are learning to your everyday life,
if you can. This will help make the subject more intereresting
to you.
4. When you study math, find a quiet place, get rid of the
distractions, and tune everything out.
5. Never, ever get discouraged. Math takes time, patience and
diligence. Hard work too. But genius is not required

Some math guys are lazy but some are very great.
I think main reason is "MATH" is difficult and people don't realise how math is important for creating the life of people including one hating math.
If they(people hating math) realise this, they might don't like math but they will not hate it at least.
Having talent and doing "Math" is great job for others and this world.

Absolutely agree with what Garv said. Another problem is that most people have a terrible introduction to math in grade school. It usually gets taught by some jerkoff with a degree in history or english who doesn't know squat about the subject to begin with. And I have actually *seen* and *heard* (with my own eyes and ears) teachers tell a class of 2'nd graders, "OK students. It's time to do our math. I know you probably don't like it because it's difficult and not very much fun, but we have to study it."
Honest to (whatever Diety you believe in). It's a good thing I have a lot of self-control because I came *real* close to strangling a couple of those goofy bitches.
Doug
Edit: You don't need to be sorry about it, Spacecowboy. The situation with 'math teachers' in most schools is sorry enough all by itself.

After years of tutoring:
1. the teacher (sorry but true)
2. the book
3. the student doesn't care, bad attitude
But everyone needs to realize they need math everyday no matter what you do. Instead of fighting it, learn the basics.
I've seen so many people suffering because they 'hated' math, like a sales person losing a large deal because of very simple math. Cost him thousands of dollars.

The only reason i can think of is the approach, the introduction to the subject is not carried out right. because 'maths' as a discipline is the most fundamental to any other kind of learning. if your having trouble appreciating the subject you have to take things into your own hands.
the most direct form of math is geometry. its all around us: different shapes and objects. trying to describe these objects is what geometry is all about. if we consciously try to notice observe and most importantly, put it down on paper and do this consistently there is no reason for anybody to be unable to appreciate maths.

Math is the subject which is depend on practise, how much you practice and learn all the methods to solve particular problem.
As maths is totally depend on practise you made.
First Understand the problem then try to solve using different methods.
Then you will feel that math is very easy.

you would be sadistic, or you will basically have something greater valuable to do than ***** for all time. i like tale issues, they positioned a reason to the arithmetic, in any different case this is basically crunching numbers. and then people do no longer see the purpose of the maths they're discovering. ---- valuable the straightforward tale issues are stupid, you may no longer supply a real existence concern and anticipate a baby to appreciate it.

your opinion is wrong and bad. People don't hate Mathematics.According to your question you only hate Mathematics. Mathematics is a very interesting subject. If we solve the problems much more and practicing daily it becomes very much easier. Not necessary to worry about that.
I think one who hates Mathematics, he/she will be laziest person in the world. Not only mathematics, but any subject, if we put interest and concentration then it will be easiest and we have to add hardwork for this. Thats all.
