I have been told by many people after my break up with my man that it is so good to be independant and not rely on a man for anything. I have been told we are better off alone and that men are useless etc etc. So now tell me this, how sad a prospect is that? We should rather be happy alone and independant? Yes I can change a light bulb and wire my own surround sound. I can even fix my own car and hang my own pictures. I earn enough money to support myself, and I have enough self confidance to go out by myself. So why do I need a man? That is such a sad statement. We need each other for support and love. We shouldnt have to do everything by ourselves, even if we can. Why shouldnt we rely on our parners? I know it would be an ideal world if we could rely on each other, and then we wouldnt keep getting these emails about how bad men are or how bad women are. We do need each other. Or else what a sad and lonely life we would live. Comments?

After one very difficult divorce, i thought i'd never ever want a woman in my life again. I found that i held all women in contempt for a couple of years. Then one day a woman whom i'd seen numerous times in a 3 month period stopped me as i was leaving my apartment and just came right out and asked me what my freaking problem was, even asked if i was gay. LOL. I told her i didn't have a problem i just didn't need an evil female in my life.
She was a persistent sort, and told me you gotta have a woman, in your life to make you whole. I thought give me a break already. That evening when i arrived home, a knock at my door, and i opened it, and there this woman stood with a six pack of beer wearing jeans and her blouse totally unbuttoned where i could see her breas ts.
Needless to say we had a romp on the bed until the sun came up the next day. We spent the day going and doing things and just having conversation. I realized i did need the opposite sex in my life even if s ex wasn't the issue. People need others in their life especially the opposite gender.
