My mouse gave birth to 10 babies and I just continued to provide her with the basic mouse food, water and treats. She got all of her needed vitamins and nutrients in the mouse food. She was a wonderful and healthy mom with 10 very healthy babies!

I've been through this I've had two or three sets of mice babies and the best thing to feed the mother is fatty foods (like sunflower seeds) but don't just give seeds to the mother just give her a lil extra depending on how many babies she has the reason for this is simple she needs to produce milk and gain strength which the sunflower seeds will help her do so, it's what I used whenever my mice give birth..

as for your other question about care for baby mice:
- the mother will do all the work, the only thing I suggest you watch is the calendar in about 3 weeks (close to 3) you'll have to sex'em (check'em for testicles and non testicles) baby mice can be tricky to do so but if you don't seperate them in time then they will reproduce on you again...

Being the nice guy I am, if you drop me a message through here I'll give you my IM info and you can drop me a message or email me anytime you wish with your questions about mice I've done extensive research and have been through it all believe me... if you don't hows this for ya ?

Her diet doesn't really need to change much except making sure that she always has plenty of water. That way she will produce enough milk to continually feed them tiny babies. You can give her fruits and peanut butter in small amounts to help keep her vitamins up. Mice love apples, bananas, pears, etc. So that will help. My mouse used to eat apples like mad when she had babies!

Give her the same stuff you've been giving her before and keep her well watered.
