Well I think you should re-write your question, but I get your drift. First off we are America, we the people. We have had to fight for everything we have. If our future looks bad to you its because you are young and haven't had to fight. The recent illegal invasion of our country makes any-ones future look bad if your not prepared to stand your ground and fight. You must prepare now for another civil war. If the invasion is not stopped by our government I would say the American people will have to do it again. Remember your history, they tried to run us over once before and we had to powder there behinds back behind the border, we can do it again. Wake up America!

I don't think America's future is going to be any worse than any western country, and probably a lot better than any other, in fact.

What I'm worried most about is the step-by-step worsening of each generation of kids. Families are more broken than ever... Teens are more wild and unruly than ever, with 0.0 idea how to raise a family or maintain a marriage when the time comes (go figure - schools don't teach real-life skills). I think this collapse of values multiplies incrementally with each generation.

In other words, I don't wanna be around when this generation grows up, and especially the next. If all continues as it is now, I think the future is going to go into a social dark age

I think every generation this debate happens and we have done allright for 300 plus years yes there are ups and downs peaks and valleys in everything from economy to social matters but in the long run I believe the US will continue to be one of the most desireable places in the world to live

IF the NEXT US President is a woman (Hillary?) it will be 'less turbulent' for America. A MALE President (like Bush now) would further embroil the US into new conflicts and plunge America deeper into debts (already humongus!). Generally the immediate future for the US is NOT GOOD at all.

Due to the change of power in Congress, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned back on.

The only really bad stuff I see for our future is North Korea's and Iran's obsession with nukes combined with their abhorrence of the U.S.
