I had a tubal ligation 8 yrs ago and my menstrual cycle is still the same. I have worse cramps because I am off the pill. I have had no side effects at all from my tubal ligation. As far as feeling "out of balance" I'm not quite sure what you mean. It may be a hormonal thing. Talk to your doctor, there may be a deeper problem that you are "assuming" is from the tubal ligation. There may be something else, more serious wrong with you.

You are not alone!!
I had a tubal done about 5 years ago. I too, was told that everything would be fine, that i had nothing to worry about. I went searching for answers and got more than i ever expected.
www.tubal.org
Do i regret it, No. I feel good about the decision, just wish i could have opted to have it all taken out, so i would not be going through this. I would rather be going through menopause. You can go to other medical sites also, and get all kinds of information about tubal ligations, and the side effects.
I hope this is some help to you.
Good luck!

There shouldn't be any differences in your periods. If there are there is another reason for it.
One of the reasons you may feel out of balance is the emotional and mental realization that you will not get pregnant in the future. I have had my tubes tied for over 11 years, and I still struggle with the urge to have children, or babies particularly.

Check at your clinic for groups or check with yahoo groups. If not use search.
Go to library as you really can't get a good answer because side effects always vary.
Diet, excercises and suppliments can help reduce side effects of hormanal imbalance.
