I haven't seen him in several yrs.His phone number has been disconnected. Should I send a letter to that address telling him that I want a divorce & that I need his number & address so that I can send him papers? If he has moved I am hoping that the letter will be forwarded to his new address.

I am not going thro a lawyer cuz I don't have much money. I know that this was his number & address last summer cuz our oldest daughter would call him sometimes.

Since he left you without staying in contact, then you can divorce him without his consent. The reason you would use is abandonment. He is still legally responsible for you financially because you are still his wife. If he left you without signing divorce papers, then he has abandoned you.
I don't know all the specifics of your marriage, but you can sue him and make him pay for abandoning you, too. You won't have to worry about anything because the courts will find him and serve him the papers.

Try Zabasearch.com It has a lot of accurate information, I am assuming they get this from public records. I looked myself up, and it was VERY accurate. Post office's don't forward mail to a new address if it's been over a year.

Try looking in the yellow pages for him. if that doesn't work, then try looking for someone that may be around him on a regular and call them. theirs also a site on msn's home page where you can search for people. it will give a list of people that matches the information you put in. it does cost about $25 to get the information. but you can enter the info first to see how many people matches your info. i hope it helps you. good luck!

I am sure there is some legal clause that you can get a divorce without him signing if he is untraceable...he could be dead for all you know if it has been yrs since you seen him.
I would talk to your lawyer about it.
