One of the most frightening movies I've ever seen is called "Salem's Lot". Prompted me to hang garlic over my bedroom door and clutch a crucifix in my hand every evening after sunset for at least 6 months!
Although the book was much better and scarier, also try watching Stephen King's "Pet Cemetery".
Have fun!

Dawn of the Dead
They don't die one by one (well in the beginning, maybe a couple), but in this movie they usually die in masses, for example at the end when they reach the island they all die together.

"Wolf Creek" is very very frightening. You need a strong stomach because the violence is strong but the story is great and the acting is even better. One of the best Australian films in a long time...

although people die, it isn't the main focus of an american werewolf in london or the howling. two of the best werewolf movies ever made. they deal with redemption, self sacrifice, and friendship.
