If you are in Australia -
You can get a copy of your credit report, by going to www.mycreditfile.com.au (a part of Baycorp), there are 3 different options, 2 you have to pay for, the 3rd gives you a free copy of your report which will take 10 days to arrive by mail, this will list all enquiries you've made for finance in the last 5yrs, but will also contain details on your bankruptcy.

Call the attorney that filed the bankruptcy. They should be able to tell you, or they can go on a website to get that information. Its also public record, so you can always go to the bankruptcy court and get the information yourself.

Bankruptcy is a major life event.

If you can't keep the paperwork from that, it's no wonder you have trouble paying your bills.
