I work in a hotel and sometimes we run out of non-smoking rooms and people have to take a smoking room. I have had SEVERAL people ask, "Well, do I have to smoke in it?" and they are being dead serious. That, by far, is THE dumbest question I've ever heard. The sad thing is that more than one person had asked this and I'm not the only person at work who's gotten this question.

Some of the dumbest questions appeared on this site. One was "how much does it cost me to fly to X city in Y country?" without saying from which city and country they'd be flying from. Others were from a Ping character who kept referring to an imaginary(?) character named China Jack (and sometimes China Tom). His Chinglish was so horrible, it bordered on being funny.
