When I was a kid I hated to go to school. I believe the hardest job that my mother ever had to do was to wake me up for the bus every weekday morning. Saturday and Sunday it was easy for her to wake me up because of the morning cartoon factor. But on those weekdays it was hard because I knew if I could stay in bed just long enough to miss the bus there would be a chance that I could stay home. The gamble was whether or not my parents wanted to drive me to a school that was some distance from our house.
