It wouldn't happen, but for the sake of answering your question, I believe we would have a chaotic situation on our hands. There wouldn't be enough jobs so more people would overwhelm our welfare system, crime would escalate because of gang drug wars that are occuring in Mexican border towns, our hospitals and medical centers would go bankrupt because of so many patients unable to pay medical expenses or to even afford health insurance for health care. Schools would be over-crowded and unprepared for an influx of many students who would not be able to speak or understand English, & the face of America's culture would dramatically change. Cities would be overpopulated, mostly in southwestern and western states, with barrios--hundreds of thousands of primarily Mexican immigrants who would settle and establish own neighborhoods, businesses, & overtake or absorb existing cultural bases already established before their mass arrival.

Nobody would be able to order fast food or speak to help at Walmart, native Americans would lose jobs to illegals who don't pay taxes. But when those American's children want to go to college they would not be able to afford it because Mom and Dad are paying for Pedro & Co to go.
I guess we could all go south and take over Mexico and live there. They have some nice weather and we would fix the water.

Because not all of us want to work and many are a shame for our nation, many think that the only good job is the one behind a desk, Mexicans come to do all the Jobs we don't want to do. So next time you eat your turkey, chicken, fish, pork, etc think that the person who fed it, grow it, kill it and prepared it was a person from above the border. next time you eat you veggies think that may be a Hispanic expend 16 hours to pick them up so you have them fresh in the table. Perhaps the American dream isn't just for the pilgrims descendants, is every one who want to do the best for this country, and obviously racists aren't doing it.
For Gondor, Are you Indian? Those are the only Native Americans, the rest of us are immigrants descendants.

The economy would tank for quite a few years. I say this because the influx of a very cheap labor force would put most americans out of work. Further the drain on the state and federal welfare system would bankrupt the govt.

it's like throwing meat in front of some starving people. it would calm down after a while. people aren't used to being able to travel where ever they want to as if they were on a free planet.
