This one person that I know… has their names changed everywhere they go. One friend will tell me that they used a nickname, and then other friend will tell me they have another name, and then another friend says they have yet another name. Why does this person I am trying to get a hold of have some many different names?

Because they are clearly not comfortable with themselves and find changing their names as a way to become something they are not

Just a guess, but maybe this person doesn't want to be found? I can't imagine why otherwise. If it's on the internet, that's easy. Names are as common as character roles for actors. They fit the persona. Hope this helps.
