I keep hearing that the marriage laws shouldn't discriminate against two people who love each other, and that marriage is not primarily for procreation. So, is this the next step?

FYI, there was a news story on ABC about this last night - which is the source of the question.

NO, I am not advocating this.

But look at the other answers so far. Seems like "anything goes" may be becoming the norm.

Depends on the relationship. Mother,Father, Step-Mother/Father and child...no. First cousins, no. Uncles/Aunts, neices/nephews, no... any farther afield is ok I figure. And YES Sometimes the government knows what is good for us. Better than apparently some of these freaks on here.

I think incestuous marriage takes it a bit too far, but to each his own! But I don't think the government should be able to dictate to us who we can and cannot marry, love, sleep or have relationships with and carry health insurance for. Some of our govt officials are too busy trying to control the population than worry about stepping all over our freedoms. Someday there will be a revolt, that's how we got our rights in the first place, and I hope to be there when it happens.

I am highly against this....out of 4 billion people, one chooses to be with a family member? It's already illegal 24 states and cousins can't marry. It depends on how close though...Brother and Sister=No.....Far off cousins...mmmhh..not so sure..
What about Mother and son? *It gives me the chills* and yes, people do this...
I don't buy the love excuse...have you heard of the fathers that rape their daughters out of love? It's a lie!

Marriage is the bonding of a man and a woman, at least as far as the major religions are concerned...I don't care who gets married or who doesn't but try to force the homosexual lifestyle down everyone's throat like it's acceptable....it's against nature.

I dont a agree with it but love is love and I dont think the government should be allowed to tell anyone they cant love someone...or marry the one whom they love.
