The internet is a 100% anonymous place. If anyone feels they have been decieved... well the only thing I can tell that person is that the degree to which the deception effects you is completely up to you. You chose to believe in something someone on the internet told you. It's your own fault. There's no guarentee on anything read over the internet. To many people today rely on what google tells them, or what their "online buddy" thinks. In a 100% anonymous environment, credibility simply cannot exist. For those who feel hurt because they placed some trust in this anonymous environment- it's their own fault, because they chose to place their trust in an inherintly untrustworthy system.

My wife and I were cybering with a man. She was doing it jokingly, and I told her I wanted to type. When I did... it was funny... there was a definite change in mood when he got off. He started talking about Anime! LOL! I'm not a homosexual, and I didn't get off to it. I just thought it would be funny to be the "dude" that every "dude" is afraid they might be talking to.
Should a man impersonate a woman? It doesn't matter. The person involved is unaware, and it's all fantasy anyway. If the person who is pretending to be a female as a symptom of "psychological abnormalities," then the "abnormalities" already exist -- they aren't a product of the internet -- the internet is an outlet for the behavior.

I know of a situation where a woman impersonated a man. She dated a girl from Australia online for several months. The girl in Australia gave up her home and everything to move here to be with what she thought was man. It was dumb on both of their parts. People should just be who they are and not impersonate anyone or anything. Too many people get hurt when you lie.

Yeah, I guess a lot of people do it for the fun of it, but people could and do get hurt by this sort of thing, no matter how innocent it starts off. When exposing yourself to this field or any field for that matter, there are always risks envolved and it's up to each individual to be aware of the risks before entering into it.

2 people do such things.
One of them is of course gays, who are feeling their way and 'learning' about themselves. These are the abnormal ones.
The other refers to guys trying to pick up girls by getting close to them as an impersonated perosn of the same sex to know them better before approaching the gals as themselves later. These are the normal ones.
Gays are disgusting.
