there is a lot of disagreement on whether and when the mahabharata war between 'kauravs' and 'pandavas' took place. since so many people died in the war, many fossiled ramains must be lying there burried under the ground. carbon12 dating can tell when they died. it works well up to around 40,000 years. for 6000 yrstd back events it gives very accurate results. even other technics like argon dating can be used to find the truth.

You forgot the rules of war of Mahabharata. Each and every dead soldier was burnt as per the Hindu rituals. Where would fossils come out from?
