Unless you have open wounds, try staying doing a sauna or steam bath for 15 minutes

Staying in the sauna also burns a lot of calories while doing nothing

Are you receiving physical therapy or seeing a doctor for the injuries to your legs and shoulders? You should absolutely run any exercise program by them first to be sure that your exercise isn't interfering with the healing process or causing you even more damage.

Can you walk? It seems like if you can, and your doctor approves that, it might be a good starting point. You can get your heart pumping, especially by going up hills or walking briskly, yet take it easy on your arms and legs. Until your dr. clears you, I'd stay away from elipticals, stairmasters, and bikes.

Good luck!
