Depends on what the circumstances are. If you are tickling someone who doesn't want to be tickled, yes, I can see how it could be considered abuse. If you are tickling someone (around your own age or someone you are close to) in fun, and they see it as fun, then nah. If you are an adult creep and you are tickling my child, I would consider it abuse, bypass any law enforcement, and kick your butt.

Well, I used to tickle my little brother a lot when he was in the front seat of the car. I think he would agree that that was abuse because I wouldn't stop after he complained. And complained. And complained........ (Ok it was more like side and neck poking) My aunt used to get me on the knee on purpose which was fun because she didn't continue once I got away. It is only fun for the initial time in the right circumstances, with the victim in the right mood and in the right relationship. Never tickle an acquaintance. Only those you have a close mutually caring relationship with. Never tickle someone if they made it clear that they don't want to be tickled.

I think it is. I hate to be tickled. I ask people to stop, and they won't. I don't know what's so funny about that, from the point of view of someone who is extremely ticklish. I hate it. I was held down once by some friends when I was about 10, and I still remember how I hated that feeling of not being in control. Yes, I think it's about time we called it what it is, and it is abuse.

Yes. I think it's cruel to forcibly tickle someone to the point they can't breathe and they beg the tickler to stop. People laugh when they're tickled because they have no control over it, not because they like it.

i'd say it can be if it's painful to the person receiving it and the giver won't stop when the receiver begs for him/her to stop.
