make a baby gift basket including baby shampoo, socks, diaper rash cream, mittens, comb, baby soap, newborn clothes, socks,pacifiers, etc, etc...................

Generally someone else hosts a baby shower, either a family member or a close friend of the pregnant woman. The most common activity is the exchange of gifts. You can have a theme, for example, the host can ask everyone to bring a favourite baby book.
Other than that, it's up to you. You can play games - such as diapering a doll, guessing the mother's waist size, guess the baby food flavour. Or you can ask people to bring a piece of advice on motherhood. If that's not your style, it's fine to just have some food and drink and to chat.
Showers used to be primarily for women, but it's not uncommon to see Dads at showers now too.
It is generally not considered to be in good taste to host your own shower.

You can do all kinds of things at a babyshower. Most of the ones I have been to just consisted of giving gifts to the expecting mother and having refreshments. Play games,Open gifts,Eat a meal,have some cake and at some possibly celebrate with a little wine for the girls!!!

Eat food, play fun games... laugh, have a good time, unwrap presents so that all the women can say awwwww... it's good times.. I've been to quite a few. Email me if you want ideas for games! :D

Eat, give or recieve gifts, do "silly" games like guessing what the baby will look like, or guessing what it will be, ect.
