As such a gay man I am curious. I find myself wishing I was straight because I see lots of ugly men with goodlooking women. You never see the opposite though. I think men are design to go for looks for serious relationships. I rarely get any attention and if you have any advice for me I'd be interested to hear.

Listen I had a look at your pic. I am not far behind you in the weight department but hey we can lose that. Good grief my weight is up an down like a bloody yo-yo.
But the thing is I have a boyfriend of almost 3yrs now, he is shorter than me(as most people are I'm 6'4") and has a thin well defined, kind of swimmers build, some people may call him twinkish. He is also rather attractive. He used to be a well know DJ here in South Africa and guys used to fall at his feet and who is he with me!
So you know what, pull yourself together, try drop a few pounds if you are unhappy, change the way you dress to something flattering and be yourself. It takes time. It took me 25yrs to find him. When you stop being so needy then is the time it happens.
Treat yourself to a makeover. But remember, makeover the looks no the personality.
Good luck.

It depends where you look for it. The gay 'scene' is full of vacuuous people and not really the environment where the odds are particularly high of finding any meaningful relationships at all. I am in a relationship whereby a really great looking guy (and that isn't me being self effacing) not only fancies me but actually loves me. I wasn't looking for love, but it found me. You know what I think the reason is - self esteem. I don't think I'm God's gift, but neither do i think I am some sort of throw back to the cavemen in the looks department. I just am who I am warts and all. This attitude of confidence without arrogence actually helps, because it attracts other people. Therefore I am lucky I struck gold with my partner. However I strongly believe anyone can do it. It's just a matter of confidence.

Perhaps you are only interested in good looking guys? I've had great success in my life. I am not good looking, I looked for those who were not great beauties on the outside. A couple were gorgeous on the inside.

By the way MOST ugly guys, unless they are rich have very ugly women.

Dude, to generalize a bit, I think when we're young and dumb we are somehow attracted superficially to beautiful things.

Contrary to what you think, many smart guys are attracted to guys who are intelligent and witty and funny, more sensible and sensitive. Especially if they're serious about a relationship.

I'm only 22 but I prefer dudes with brains. Oh a nice smile too.

Smile is the key to getting attention..........

Always remember...beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure that out there somewhere there are people who think that youare very attractive. My Granny used to say "there is a lid for every pot".

Lets face it the world is not always fair. I do have gay friends, and some are not good looking as well. But they have GOOD EDUCATION and MONEY. I'm not saying all men who have gay men as partners are always after for the money, Not all but its a fact. And REALITY BITES.

If you don't want to be with an ugly guy why would expect others to?
