Yes, you get people who never read a newspaper, never watch the news and have no interest in current affairs discusions, they are definitely ignorant, its a pity!

Yes, a lot of the time. But a lot of people watch the news and it still doesn't help correct their ignorance. And a lot of other people avoid the same old news stories that never seem to change, which is probably a good thing. And others are so focused on what they are doing that they don't have time for the news - they just find out what is going on, as they need to, from others who have watched the news. It is good to find out what's going on in the world. I'm also amazed when I encounter someone who has no clue about the latest major news event.

I don't watch the news because I don't have television any more. A personal decision I came to after realizing how much of my life was wasted away sitting in front of the t.v. I don't know every detail about what is going on in the world but it really doesn't matter. What have you done to change the state of the world based on what you have learned by watching the news? I bet all you do is get pissed off and complain to people around you while not actually doing anything productive to change things...but I could be wrong, maybe you have had private meetings with Bush to discuss the Iraq situation?

Get over it, news reports are total propaganda.

It's ignorant to believe that everyone has the same opinions and value system that you do. Some people have very tough lives and don't need depressing news at the end of their day. There are people who need Mctelevision to lighten up their difficult lives.

I read newspapers and am active about finding out what's going on in other parts of the world, but I understand it's not a priority for everyone.

No. I watch the news and read the newspaper. By the time I'm finished I wished that I didn't even know what was going on in this world. I often think that the people who don't keep up with these things are smarter than me. Ignorance is bliss? Yes, sometimes it is.

I find people that believe what they see (or read) on the news to be quite ignorant. I may read the newspaper, but when something strikes me as interesting, I will research it thoroughly to find out the real story. I have found that what is reported in the newspaper is rarely correct, and even when it is accurate, it is quite lacking in important information. I rarely watch the news on television because, at best, it is a form of entertainment, at worst, it is often 100% fact free.

I do not watch the news because it is all BAD news, depressing and usually inaccurate. I do read some news on the internet that contains information that I WANT to research. I keep on on the current events I care about. I am not even CLOSE to being an ignorant person.

If I want to know whats going on I don't watch the news.

The news is stupid. They over exagerate everything to get ratings.

I am only 15 and I know that if you watch the news you are a lazy son of a *****. The tv news is so exagerated it's disgusting. Get your mind's lazy *** the **** out of the recliner and read the newspaper. It might be more work but you'lla ctually know what's going on. Not to mention you only read the ones that interest or effect you and there re no commercials.

T.V. news is very depressing, so I don't watch it. I keep up with what is going on in the world through other sources, radio, internet. Just remember to a lot of people ignorance is bliss. So leave them to enjoy their ignorance.
