For restoring peace purpose, India should not be required to handover Kashmir to Pakistan. Now Kashmir is a part of Hindustand.

But also read carefully reply from AKMAL. He is right. At the time of freedom agreement on 14 & 15 August 1947, Kashmir was not joined as part of India. King Harisinh handedover this state to India under the influence of our Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. But now Kashmir is Head of India, Gaujarat and Assam two arms of India, Kerala & Tamil are legs of India. See the entire map of India. We should never lose our head.

The problem was regarding public opinion. 95 % population was not prepared to vote in favour of India. They wished to join Pak only becoz they are Muslim. Now they all should understand that real democracy is with India only, even if it becomes Hindustand in near future, their welfare will lie with us only.

For almost 5 years Pakistan had a free run in Afganistan....
Except for Taliban leadership's indulgance into everything immoral and unislamic they achieved nothing.

The Azad Kashmir as it is called by pakistan has a dismal rate of every development parameter. This region is not even palgued by terrorism/extremism.

Giving away kashmir to pakistan will be a loss of kashmiries

India and Pakistan are on the negotiating table to work out peacefull coexistance and many other issues of conflict, As long as dialogue continues and both the nations are willing to find a solution, one nation might have to give something and the other may have to take less than expected. Lets wait and see what India gives and what Pakistan gets.

no not at all. kashmir is like a crown 4 india . already we lost some of our borders to china during the chinese war . P.M of india at that time (nehru) did not take any action . so now also we need not lose our crown . it is pakistan who started the fight first .
so why should we give up? kashmir is our's and we need to fight 4 our rights. if pakistan is ready to stop the fight then india is also ready . but india cannot give up pakistan . india is fighting 4 its rights. now it is up to pakistan

Motherland is not just a matter to negotiate upon. Kashmir is an
intergral part of our Motherland. Have you forgotten those Kashmir Pandits who are the original inhabitants of Kashmir chased out of their own soil by the muslims ?. Now they are refugees in their own country. Are you joking? or remembering
Hindi song... Pyar dey dey.. U.P. , Bihar Lele... There is nothing
to give except good will and all Kashmiri Pandits must be rehabi-litated in Kashmir with strong determination of the State and
Central Govt. to protect them and give life of dignity.

What do the Kashmiri's want ? I dont think we can restore peace this way. Pakistan is irrational & they will totally destroy Kashmir with their backward attitudes.
