Watch your salt intake, caffenine intake (hard I know when you got those chips and chocolate cravings). Also, excersise is good. Failing that, warm bath, heating pad, Advil/Motrin/Tylenol or some similar to that works well. Failing that...you need to see your Doctor for extra help.

By taking birth control pills, the pain of cramps is usually reduced, it was when I was taking birth control pills. Also, taking pain medication designed specifically for menstrual cramps such as midol would help. And exercising or moving around seems to work for alot of people.

i find that keeping myself busy and moving makes it less intense. i end up doing a little cleaning in my room while having music on...and then i feel better in more ways than one.
first you should take meds though...if it gets too bad you can get a prescription. i take Tramadol and Midol, and it helps in combination with minimal laying down. if youre lazy like me or if you feel you need to relax sometimes then i find its better if i sit up doing stuff at the computer rather than lay down.
if you do lay down dont do it for very long and when i lay down i often lay at the end of the bed (not exactly leaning..but sorta) and i direct my attention towards the floor for a while. for some strange reason, it works sometimes.

like i said i only do a little cleaning...i do different activities throughout the day to keep from it being monotnous (arrgh i cant spell today). but its also basically a routine. this is what i do (not necessarily in this order): lay in bed for a few in that position i said earlier, watch a little tv, do some cleaning, sit in the bathroom, computering and play with my bunnies. sometimes i will go outside with the bunnies and walk around with them out there.

There is this chinese medication called pai2 feng4 wan2, that helps alleviate the symptoms after the 3rd dosage.. you can get it at any chinese medical herb shop.
A warm pack helps too.
The best is to have sex though... then you won't have the pain for a long long time.
