I mean have you or would you, intentinally hurt an animal for no real reason except for you own enjoyment? If so why?

before my aunt died of cancer, she told me of an incident...she came across this boy beating his horse in the head with a chain....she got so mad...she went over and grabbed the chain from him and began beating him with it...the mother witnessed it but didnt stop her. i think most of us would like to respond like that when we see an animal being abused.

No, I could never do something like that and live with myself, and I hope the majority of the world wouldn't either. I think it's so cruel, they're poor defenseless creatures, who have no reason to be hurt. The people doing this want to feel strong and powerful, and can only do it by picking on the easiest target. Anybody who gets enjoyment out of that has some serious problems and should be locked up... or treated how they treat animals.

The ONLY reason I would hurt any animal (domestic, wild, or at a zoo, etc) would be if it were to attack me, my friends, my family.......... I DETEST HUNTERS and those who have animal heads in their homes. I also detest those who do not bother to call animal control to report a dead animal on the side of the road.
I do agree that there is a place for hunters who go after wild boar or deer who are totally out of control, but ONLY IF they use the meat for a meal and not to put on their living room wall.

If you kill just for the fun of it your sick, but if your a real hunter you have respect for the animals. I live in a state where there is lots and lots of deer, and if no one hunted them they would over run the state or starve to death, which had almost happened once, they had to release some cougars in order to thin them out.When I was a young boy, I had killed a robin with a BB gun one day just to see if I could hit it, well my step dad seen me through his window, and came out and told me to pick up the bird, and clean it, then made me fry it up and eat it! He said, you never kill something unless your going to eat it. It was a hard lesson learned, but I have always remembered it! Thank you Dad.

Better question:
Does the world hate human babies and intentionally murder them for "fun".
I do not care if it is not illegal to murder, exterminate, expell, whatever you want to call it, our future generations, it is still murder.
This is a much more pressing question than if the world hates animals...will animals populate God's world and give to our ecomony? No, they too are being spayed and nutered.....
See a connection here......all life is not supposed to pro create life...so, who was the person who decided to take on the role of God and rearrange the way life would be lived on Earth? Do we honestly think the world is getting smaller?
Come on now, I think God knew what He was doing as He spoke this world into existence. Don't you?

Actually, this subject is very sensitive to me. I am a proud member of the ASPCA. However, I do have a male friend who isn't all there when it comes to humane compassion. Among hunting as one of his major hobbies, story telling is another and I have heard some stories out of this man's mouth that would make your stomach turn. But, if it ever came down to it, I know he is like a brother to me and he would step in front of the bus for me. It's not like he's a mass murderer, but he is an idiot and I love him but I'll never understand myself....

Oh i gotta answer this and then im goin to bed i swear. People who do that are found 95% of the time to have a mental illness later in life i read it in a serial killer book . There is something wrong with them and it starts showing in there childhood when they abuse animals. It is a red flag that they are mentally disturbed thank you yahoo and good night! Im signing off

No, the only animals I would hurt are mossies & other humans and I'd then have a reason anyway. I hate mossies cuz their bites make me lose sleep!
If you are not an amimal then you are a plant, fungi or not a living thing.

People do not generally harm animals for fun. People hunt for fun, although I fail to see how hunting denfenseless deer is "fun".
Most people who harm animals do it out of anger. Animals are easier to pick on than people. Who can the dog tell? You're not likely to have your cat taken away unless someone witnesses the abuse.
Usually people who abuse animals were abused themselves as children when they were defenseless. Certainly no excuse.
