i need it for a 5 min presentation, if you can add sth to it.. that would be great thanks
beside the topic is: the most influential person, or people in your life...
this is what i wrote:

Who has been the most influential person in my life? There are more than one. As I stepped into new situations, I have encountered new people, and each one has taught me a new, unique lesson. However, for some of us there are individuals who impact our lives in greater ways than we could ever hope.
In my life, those people are my parents: my father, for his great caring heart, honesty, and tolerance; and my mother, for her kindness, morality, and strength as a feminist. They have become my pattern.
Even though I haven’t learned everything they tried to teach me, I have tried to apply the values and principles I learned from them, and that has helped me in situations that arose in my life over the years. Even now, my parents remain a guiding influence in my life.

To fill your five-minute presentation, you may want to add how your parents have influenced you, specifically. Two experiences or instances per subject should be enough if you keep it concise. Don't use alot of details and DO NOT use dialogue unless it is a specific phrase that you use for your life's ambition or to uplift yourself. You've introduced your parents. Now give their personalities shape for your audience.
Good luck, Shany M.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this! It's so wonderful that you are able to express yourself so clearly about who has influenced you within your life. (smile) The additional thought that I would add, as to make it a 5 minute presentation, is to add some other influences that have helped to shape your style of thinking and living. For example, a grandparent, a sibling, etc. or expand on some positive traits you have gained from your parents. Of course, you know best as these are wonderful people within your life, so maybe add one or two more to gain the full 5 minutes and time yourself as you read this aloud. Good luck and be Safe...(smiles)
