General topics to discuss in classrooms?

i'm english language orientation teacher...kindly suggest some topics to discuss with my students...

You don't say what age group you are teaching. If you are teaching adults look at who your students are and what do you think might interest your group. Same goes for children. Students always speak much more and with more enthusiasm if the ideas/topics are generated by them.
