is sims 2 without expansion packs worth buying?

before buying sims 2 pc version just wanted to know if it is actually good without the expansion packs?

Absolutely! Although the expansion packs do add to the game, the stand-alone game is fantastic by itself. The only expansion pack I would really recommend is University, as that adds some pretty cool features. (I wasn't all that impressed with the rest of them.)

If this is your type of game, I recommend you go ahead and buy it. It really is a good game. Just make sure you download the applicable patches when you get it, as there are some bugs.

Yes. I played sims 2 for about a year and a half before I got any expansion packs. I only got university because I wanted the cool dorms and stuff. I only got nightlife because it had cars. and open for business so I could make heaps of money =)

But I don't plan on buying any more as it's really not woth my money.

i like Bon Voyage via fact of having the flexibility to make a coastline residing house and flow swimming interior the sea. happening trip is okay, the rub down table is nice sized. My renowned is Seasons, you could improve your individual nutrition, make juice (the place in combinations can do good issues on your sim) watch the seasons replace, have snow ball fights ect.... I additionally like the fishing it provides the country products it brings to the interest

yes its worth it, you only buy expansion when your bored with the game and need something new to mess with.
