sure, most newer systems are internally capable of supporting 4 IDE drives (1-2 will be used for CD/DVD) and depending on how new, the first one will be used for the primary harddrive. if it is a newer computer, the harddrive may be a SATA drive instead of IDE, thereby giving you even more expansion capabilities!

You can add as many hard drives as your motherboard & power supply will support. I'm running 2 internal & 1 external.

you can have all the externial hard drive you want, just make sure you have enough usb ports for it.

yes, I just did that. My computer recognized it and now I have a Drive F lol
