I'm playing battle of the bands with two of my girlfriends this weekend. We are the only girl band in the history of battle of the bands at my school and i just need some fillers to say in between the songs that might make the audience get more into the performance. Any tips?

The only thing that comes to mind for a female band is a joke about being a "hair band." The term hair band is used to describe 80's metal bands that had big hair. You might be able to use this if you girls have long hair?

Tell them about going on yahoo answers to get material, then go through some of material on here for ideas on something you could change to apply to your program. Maybe you could mention how Paris Hilton Shaved her head to get attention. Tell them you were willing but couldn't get the rest of the girls to go along with you. Maybe something about a problem with the lights shinning off of their heads or with all the guys with shaved heads, they might mistake you for some of the guys..... something like that? Good Luck Girls!!! Way to go!!!

Ask your band member this between songs: "Hey, do you know what that last song was about?"

Then she replies: "It was about three minutes too long."

Maybe it will be good for a laugh, let me know. Good Luck!!!
