The American and French revolutions were both revolts against "devine right" kings who thought that their right to rule came from God. Yet, there were some significant differences between the two revolutions also.

In America it was the rich who revolted, the wealthy northern merchants of New York and New England and the equally wealthy slave owners of the Southern colonies. Working-class American colonists and the fur trappers of the Indian Territory don't seem to have participated in it very much.

In the French Revolution, however, it was poor peasants and lower middle-class city dwellers, constantly facing the possibility of homelessness and starvation, who revolted. Almost the opposite of the American Revolution.

King Louis XVI of France and President Sadaam Hussein of Iraq both met unlucky fates. They were both two of history's losers in the end. However, Louis XVI was still a civilized, well-meaning ruler in a way in which Sadaam Hussein was not. In the case of Louis XVI, it was his supercillious, high-born Austrian wife, Marie Antoinette, who got him into trouble. He probably could have averted the revolution if he could have talked to his people alone without her interference.

On the other hand, it does not appear that any revolution was looming on the horizon in Iraq. Sadaam was safely in power for life as long as America did not invade his country. He brought America one step closer to overthrowing him by invading Kuwait in 1991. His strong belligerence against Israel and his policy of giving $25,000 dollar checks to the Palestinian families of suicide bombers against Israel after the year 2000 was probably his ultimate undoing. If he could have wisely avoided these three mistakes, he'd probably still be in power right now.

All 3 are not related at all. I would do your own research for school instead of depending on other answers. It's good to find it out for yourself in case the teacher ask you further questions and you have no clue what they are asking. 1. American Revolution was caused by wanting to free from British rule. 2. French Revolution pretty much started because poverty was hitting an all new low. 3. Iraq was caused by US invasion.
