Add some white vinegar to the toilet bowl, swish it around with a toilet brush and let it sit for awhile. If the stain is pretty harsh you may have to scrub some more, and let it sit for even longer, but it's definitely worth a try. Since it was a chemical cleaner that stained the toilet, be careful about adding other chemicals on top, because that could cause some type of reaction. Thus try something natural like vinegar first, give it time, and good luck!

Try that new stuff called Kaboom.
I just moved into an apartment and the toilet was stained from before. I thought it was a lost cause. A friend recommended I get some.
Not only does it work great, it's all fizzy. It's like a science experiment that cleans up after its self.

Have you tried regular bleach? Please remove the toilet seat, place it in the tub (or someplace big enough) and soak it in tepid water with regular bleach. At least ten minutes. Then check it. Or, just spray bleach water (from a spray bottle with water and 1 txpn. bleach, at the stain, and keep repeating that till it's gone.

put pure bleach on a sponge and soak the areas, you need to keep doing this every 1/2 hour till it starts to disappear
