Charming and really predictable for those who have read a lot by Dickens. However, the plot is a little unusual for him - miracles of this kind are not his type. Usually the main character suddenly inherits a lot of money or finds out he/she belongs to a noble family or all his/her enemies die or go to prison. So Christmas Carol is fresher than the others.
I absolutely agree with Dickens when he believes that the good must win, unfortunately our life is not one of his stories.
I must add that I don't think Dickens was naive - he was an optimist.
