Yes, Disney takes just about any form of money there is ;-)
It is no problem to use your credit card, almost every places accepts them. Just be sure to ask before hand so you don't get everything or order everything and then not be able to pay.
As the other answer said, you can always make your room key at Disney your charge card. When you check in you give them the card, they link it to your room key (if you have children or anyone that you don't want to have charging abilities they can take care of that as well) and then you don't have to worry, just give your room key anywhere at Disney and everything is charged right back to your card.
Have a great time!

Honeebee's answer is correct. I too work at my local Disney Store and sell a lot of these cards. I would recommend giving the gift card over the Disney Dollars because your friends are carrying around 1 credit card rather than a bunch of Disney Dollars which could get lost.

Yes Disney accepts debit cards and all major credit cards, including Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club. Travelers checks and American Express Gift Checks are also accepted at all locations except some of the smaller kiosks.

Yes you can at just about any store. You cant at little churo, popcorn booths or ice cream stands. If you stay at one of the Disney World Resorts your room key also doubles as a credit card if you would like it to so you do not have to carry around both. Hope this helps!

Yes you can. You can use them at the restaurants, gift shops, and etc. If you are staying at one of Disney's hotels, you can use your room key, so you don't have to carry any money around. Hope this helps!

Yep. You sure can. I never had any problem using either, and if you stay on property, your room key is a credit card, too.
It's an easy place to holiday. Have a great vacation :)
