It should be Nash, and just because he should get the award 3 years in a row doesn't make him better than MJ. Everyone knew that Malone stole the award from him the years he won it. Everyone knows that MJ is the best player in the history of the game. No one is saying that because Nash should get his 3rd straight MVP award that he is better than MJ, but the fact still remains that he has the greatest impact on his team than any other player in the league, and without him they would be a team a few games above .500, which is shown by their skid while Nash was injured, and their immediate success tonight against the LA Clippers with Nash back in the lineup. He makes the game so easy for the players around him.

I think there are only three options for MVP as of now.
DIrk. Nash. Wade.
I would lvoe to see Kobe get an MVP, well, because he's kobe. (no explanation needed?)
I don't want Nash to win, but sadly. he might get it. His team crumbled without him.
Wade? yeah, he's good. I doubt he'll get it unless his team steps up and is a dominating force in the East.
I think right now Dirk has the best chance. Not only is he on the team with the best standing (44 and 9.. excellent) but the rest of his team is generally strongly underrated, and are thought to be way worse without Dirk than they actually are; which makes Dirk the leading man. Not that he isn't.
I don't really think anyone in the East will get it due to the lack of good standings, though.

I think Kobe or T-Mac should get it this season. They are both carrying their teams on their backs. Tracy is alone in keeping the team's playoff hopes alive without Yao. The Rockets don't have that good of a roster but T-Mac somehow manages to maintain their ranking.
Kobe is playing great this season. His shot attempts are way down and they are winning. He is making every man on his team better. The Lakers roster is one of the youngest in the league. Kobe's leadership leads the way for the franchise. Unlike Kobe, T-Mac will have Yao soon. Kobe had to bear three seasons without having a superstar next to him.
Steve Nash is another story. It's true that he makes his team that much better. Look at the lineup of Phoenix, though. The Suns have one of the best rosters in the league! No wonder Nash's assists are up on the roof. He has Amare, Marion, Diaw, Barbosa, Bell. That lineup is very capable. The Lakers' roster is very young and the Rockets' roster is not all that talented. So I definitely think that it should either be Kobe or McGrady.

Nash might win it because of the way he affects the team with his presence, they had Amare and Marion but they still lost to the Balzers and barely beat everyone else during the time that he was out, he's the glue that keeps them together. But I were to chose outside of Steve Nash, It'd be Dirk or Lebron or maybe Agent Zero

It will be a battle between the "Best Friends", Dirk and Steve...but i would still pick Steve. Well Dirk is great...but so is Nash. But look at thier style...Nash could score, assist, run, and most Importantly, LEAD. Dirk is Amazing he could score, rebound and Lead...but thats all. Nash plays for his team. Dirk plays for his own. And for those who say that nash have so many assists because his finishers are great...its not only about that...he has those stats because he can see plays that NO ONE ELSE CAN. thats why he is a great play maker. And For those of you who said that Nash sucks and he that he is the worst MVP...you guys suck!!!!!!!!! You should not be judging players like..that all of them are great players thats why they are in the NBA....so before you could say that they suck or Nash sucks....defeat him First...or take his place in Phoenix...let's see if you could handle it... SUCKAS...NASH AND DIRK FOR MVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nash should get the award he deserves it! and it doesn't mean that Nash's winning 3 straight MVP award doesn't prove his better than M.J. we all know M.J. is the G.O.A.T, but Nash today is making an impact in the suns and in the league carrying and you can't take that away from him

I want to say Kobe, but it's gonna go to Dirk
The Dallas Mavs started out 0-4 but won 44 out of 49 games following the four losses. That should be enough to say that the best player in the team is truly being a leader of the team and the NBA to lead the team to best record of NBA.
(keep in mind that MVP usually go to the players who lead best teams)

If Dirk Nowitzki continues to get the Mavs up in the super tough west then I've got to think it will be him.

I think Dirk Nowitzki will win this year, although Kobe should win as great as he's been playing.

DIRK obviuosly! Whoever said LeBron is retarded. The Cavs are hardly a team to even worry about.Nash is good but not as good as Dirk. Kobe is good but his team sucks.
It's Gotta be DIRK.
Anybody else would just be RE-DIRK-ULOUS !!!!!
