Not sure about the Vit C, though I cannot imagine it being bad but...you can take...
Garlic and onions. Not exactly going to get you pregnant again, either. But they are good for you immune system, particularly the garlic. You can also gargle with hot/really warm salt water. Not sure why it works but that is what my mom tells me to do and it does help, particularly with the sore throat.
Good Luck! And congratulations on the pregnancy!

Actually taking to much Vitamin C is dangerous, pregnant or not, Your prenatal Vitamins ALONE have just the perfect balance of vitamins and minerals designed for your pregnancy. I am now pregnant with my second child, and with both of my preganancies I was allowed to take regular strength Benydryl. The irritation in your throat is caused by histamines. Benydryl will help with that.

What worked for me was... hot red grapefruit juice. If you are afraid of a vitamin C overdose, don't. This particular vitamin is water-soluble. In other words, all the extra vitamin C will be peed out of your system, so drink at least 8 cups of water! And if you are still nervous, cut the 500cc of vitamin C and stick a mug of hot red grapefruit juice in the microwave for 1 min., stir and sip. Repeat every couple of hours. I swear it worked for me through 3 pregnancies and countless flu seasons.

I'm sorry, but I don't know. What I DO know, is you should ask your doctor for what you should take. Not Yahoo Answers. I'm sure there are a lot of people with good answers, but you never know when someone is giving you fake information. You can trust your own doctor (and I'm sure you don't want anything wrong to happen!).
Get well soon!
