My little bro had a friend who was African-American and Goth. His real name is Charles, but he prefers to be called Shadow. Even his Dad addresses him by that name. So, it may be less common in your area that African-Americans are Goth. Also go to some concerts and you'll see all different sorts of people there.

Also, for whomever asked the question on Asian Goths, you should do a search on Gothic Lolita and Malice Mizer. Mana, the Japanese musician-artist, has created two whole styles of Gothic fashion. Gothic Lolita is actually still pretty big over in Japan. Check out japanesestreets.com for pictures.

That's all for now.

Because the goths didn't conquer the Africans, the Americans and the Afro Americans.
The rest is up to your imagination

choose for it! as long as you're chuffed, this is the main suitable factor. African (or certainly everyday black) goths are - from my journey - rarer than Asian or white goths, yet goths customarily rock. P.S. Sorry if I sounded racist. i did no longer mean to.

I honestly don't know, but I've never seen one. I certainly wouldn't want to come across a black man dressed in dark clothes in a dark alley at night.
