I have a serious problem on my GPA. I'm a junior in high school and right now my GPA is 2.6. I want to attend an UC school and I know its a long shot. I been studying the SAT for a long time and taking the test on May hoping reaching higher than 1800. I didn't do much extra activity for school but I'm in a track team. Is there still a chance or a maybe a little can i go to UC?

Thank you.... Explain please.

Hell yeah. My second semester sophomore year I had a 1.8. I decided I wanted to go to some form of college, so I went from that 1.8 to a 4.1. What counts to colleges is your experience or "journey". Pull it up just a bit, (at least your last couple of semesters) and you'll be fine. I won't disclose my SAT score but I ended up getting into a VERY competitive school.

Hope this helps.

Of course. If you get a high SAT score it might be enough. Also, to slip by with that 2.6 GPA you should try to get into sports like other people who've made it to college with low GPA scores. Not only do sports open the door to a UC college, other things like arts and music can benefit you in the long run.

It is never too late!

Try focusing on essays. essays are the things that individualize you away from others when the "people" read it. ANYONE can do good on the bubble in part...if they tried. And what id do is go to a city college for like 2 years and transfer into a uc. its easier AND you still graduate from a UC

you've a reliable GPA. faculties take AP practise into interest. it really is extra appropriate to do nicely in an AP classification than tremendous in a wide-spread classification. In my intense college, they'd upload 7 factors for your grade for an AP classification (in case you obtain a ninety, it would substitute to a ninety seven). showing that you took AP practise shows that you're sensible and proficient. events and different more suitable curricular events help, also. reliable success with your SAT try!

Anything is possible, especially depending on your course load. They do take that into consideration as well. Are you taking college prep classes such as concurrent enrollment or AP? That's a factor.

If you score well on your SAT, then they may overlook a poor high school GPA provided you are taking advanced classes.
