We all know that he has been a failure in his earlier stint in the government. He himself has admitted to that. Now he says that he is not interested in the premier post. He knows where he stands. He is sensible. Better leave him alone and let him do things where he is good at.

The basic criteria for selection of Presidents job is that the individual is non political ie having no inclination towards any political party. Amitabh Bachchan justifies that.
Next criteria is his personality- He stands on top among all potential candidates
Character - he is non controversial
He possess well above knowledge
He carries himself well in all forums
Therefore i feel he is an asset to nation.
If he is not considered as President this will be an unfortunate story.
President Post does not require shrewd political knowlege as it is a symbolic head post. ie A brand Ambassdor of Nation
and Amitabh fits well
My best wishes for him

Definitely yes, if only he wishes and tries! A matured, cultured and a sensible person like him should be welcomed in the politics with open arms! He has all that it takes to make things move towards success. So, why not Indian Administration itself?

Well, in my opinion actors aren't the right choice for top posts...alright,he's been providing us entertainment for decades...But that alone is not gonna give him the necessary quality or wisdom to handle such a pressurized job....So what i hope is Big B should put an end to these speculations by announcing he's not gonna contest......

He himself has said that he is not suitable as he does not like politics. Moreover let him excel in the field where he is best suited.
