There isn't necessarily a difference between love and friendship. More than likely, you love your friends and will do anything for them and know that they will do the same. Lasting friendships and love are always intermingled.
What I think you're referring to is romantic love. In that case, you feel a sense of overwhelming devotion to the person you're in love with, whether it's a member of the opposite sex or sometimes, the same sex. You want to spend every waking moment with that person and a big part of your life revolves around making that other person happy. It's the person that you see yourself spending the rest of your life with and you love them unconditionally.
Friendships and romantic relationships are two of the most beautiful and rewarding things you can experience as a person and you should do everything you can to hold on to them.

p.s decoded means: in a very small encyclopida I dug up a few seconds ago to help with theis quetion I found that the defenition of love is: to find someone attractive in as pysical or emotional means. Friendship on the other hand meant: someone you trust and agree with to the fullest! And the solution to all of this is: chicken.
