like in a western where everyone is shooting (has their finger on the trigger), but you can apply it to any thing you shoot..your mouth, staplegun, waterpistol, salad shooter.....it means you're just looking for any old excuse to fire.

Like, shooting your mouth off without thinking if you should just keep your comments to yourself. Does you friend really need to know their new hair cut looks awful?
Or could it be, you are so used to seeing them the old way, that any new haircut would look strange (to you) on them?

its from the cowboy days they all carried guns well in my neighbor hood there are a lot of guns to come to think of it. its those guys with guns who are anxious to shoot and cant control them self. go to oakland california and ask someone . they will point it out to ya blood. yu know what im sayin homee
