I guess it's just fun seeing people make a fool of themselves to get on tv for like 4 minutes of fame. It's also fun to see the people who actually do well and try to guess who is going to win. I agree it has a element of "rush" to it.

I believe that American Idol is so addicting because the music and the singers make it fun. In the beginning when they are auditioning the contestants in various cities it is fun to see who does not make it because they cannot sing and they do stupid things.
I get really excited when someone can sing really well. It just makes my night.

I watch it mostly because of Simon (absolutely love how brutally honest he is!)
I got really into Season 5 because of Chris Daughtry. He's got the talent and the voice!
This season no one is really catching my attention except for Jared Cotter, who sang one of my favorite songs and did a pretty decent job last night.

I hate that show...its basicly over-hyped Karoke. I mean most the guys sound like they belong in a boy band...the only guy who has any talent was the that indian teen who always sings stevie

I watch it but hate the so called experts.I am amazed that so many people who have no talent,expect to get through.How much do the judges get paid to really insult people?

I cry when they cry, I laugh when they laugh, I say "other door" with the judges when a contestant leaves the audition room ....
I love it .... good concept, good content ....
